The biggest disc golf market in Texas — from the legendary 755-foot par 3 at Z Boaz to John Houck's long designs in the suburbs. We're publishing the metro's best first.
DFW is disc golf at Texas scale. Z Boaz in Fort Worth is the legendary one — 19 holes with real elevation and the most famous hole in the state, a 755-foot par 3. Harry Myers in Rockwall is John Houck's long, varied design with three par 5s, and Veterans Park in Arlington has been a community anchor since 1988.
Fritz Park in Irving brings Delaware Creek and a pecan orchard to the table, and Tom McCutcheon in Lewisville is the friendly open course for working on distance control. The Frisbetarian Disc Golf Club and Fellowship of the Disc run weekly leagues, and Dynamic Discs Carrollton and Another Round Dallas are the local pro shops. Nearly all of DFW's mapped courses are free to play.
New here? Tom McCutcheon to warm up, then Z Boaz to see what Texas distance golf really means.
